TelOne Appoints Saul Chaminuka as New Head Coach
TelOne Football Club has appointed Saul Chaminuka as its new head coach, replacing Herbert Maruwa who left last week.
The club confirmed the appointment will take effect from May 1, 2026. Chaminuka’s main job will be to help the team avoid relegation.
TelOne, also called the Wifi Boys, are currently 16th in the league with 16 points from 10 matches. They won their first game of the season on the weekend, beating Triangle 2-1 at Gibbo Stadium.
Chaminuka’s first match in charge will be the Midlands derby against Hardrock at Ascot Stadium on Saturday.
The experienced coach has worked with several local clubs including Buffaloes, Black Rhinos, ZPC Kariba, Green Fuel, Kwekwe United and Dynamos.
He left Kwekwe United in May 2025 after a dispute with the club’s management, then joined Dynamos but only stayed for two months.
TelOne president Oscah Nduwure confirmed the appointment to Zimpapers Sports Hub.
